Lekha publishers is committed to developing a generation of children who think out of
the book! We do this by teaching children to write from their hearts and by publishing
books that deal with familiar subjects in an unique way. At Lekha a child can be a
child. No thought process is wrong and there is no one right way to imagine. A cloud
could be a paper to write on and a rock could be a meteor! This is where their
creativity will be nurtured and brought to fruition in the form of words on paper.
Lekha School of Creative Writing conducts week-long day camps during the winter,
spring, and summer. After school classes and classes for home-schoolers are also held
on a weekly basis. Students of our school are encouraged to publish their books under
the imprint Lekha KidsWrite.
Through learning creative writing the Lekha way and through the books created by
Lekha Publishers, we believe that imagination and dreaming will be safe in the hands of
future generations to come.
