Lekha School of Creative Writing announced its spring and summer camps for the year 2008. This year both camps will see added instructors and children of different age groups. Every child will improve their writing skills at their own pace and will be given the opportunity to use a laptop that they will consider their own for the week.
The spring camp will be held during two weeks each catering to the holiday seasons of different school districts. Children between the ages 8-14yrs can be part of the Lekha Spring camps.

The Summer camps will be held throughout summer for children between the ages of 5-14 years. A part-time option is available for children between the ages 5-7.

Lekha Announces Spring and Summer Camps
The West Valley library in San Jose invited Jyoti Yelagalawadi, the founder of Lekha Publishers and School of Creative Writing to conduct a 4-hour creative writing workshop on the 20th of February.

The event was an unqualified success as the number of children participating far exceeded the number expected. This workshop will be repeated in September.

Workshop at West Valley Library a Smash Hit
12 year old Tyler Sadoff's book, "A journey
in Time" is nearing completion. It is slated
to be published this summer. The first draft
of this book was written as part of the
summer camp '2007
In addition to Tyler, four other students
from the advanced level are working
towards publishing their work this year.
Each month I shall be publishing one poem written by a student during the past quarter. The poems are chosen at random and does not mean that it is in anyway better than others.
