After School Classes
These classes are conducted year round, developing children's writing skills in an organized manner. We currently offer these classes in two locations - West San Jose and North San Jose. Children are guided by creative writers in the elements of story writing, poetry and song writing, play writing, informational writing, and essay writing in small classes. Students are encouraged to compete in local, state, and national writing competitions. If accepted by Lekha's Review Panel, Lekha Publishers LLC provides guidance for publishing the child's work.

Cost:
One hour class = $90.00/abmonth
A minimum of two students and a maximum of 6 students will be present in each class.
Make Up Classes:
Punctuality and regularity are essential in order to learn the art of creative writing. We do understand though, that at times a student is unable to make it for a particular class. A student may make up one class each month at a time when the same level is being taught on another day. The class should be made up within two weeks.
Homework:
Discipline is the key to good writing. Beginner and advanced beginner writers are expected to write for at least twenty minutes three times a week. Intermediate writers will need to put aside half an hour three times a week, while advanced writers will work on a major project in addition to the required half an hour three times a week.
